  • School Scholarship Program

    The Express Employment Professionals scholarship program is designed to recognize and encourage achievements in higher education. This scholarship program is administered by Scholarship Management Services®, a division of Scholarship America®. Scholarship Management Services is the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship and tuition reimbursement programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals.

  • Eligibility

    • Applicants must have a minimum of 500 hours of employment as an Express Employment Professionals associate accumulated in the two-year period prior to the May 31 application deadline. Applicants may also be the children or spouse of an Express associate who meets the requirements above. 
    • Scholarship applicants must be high school seniors, high school graduates, or have received their GED or equivalent. Applicants must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a full-time or part-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school.

  • Awards

    • Selected recipients receive an award of up to $1,000. 
    • Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply each year they meet the eligibility requirements. 
    • Recipients may only receive one Express scholarship, an internal scholarship award may not be combined with the Express associate/school award. 
    • Scholarships are made payable to the student’s school. Total scholarship amount is issued via a check in one payment on August 15. Checks are mailed to the student’s home address. 

  • Application – Available March 1, Must be postmarked by May 31

    • Download and complete the  Express Scholarship Application form and reference the  Financial Data instructions
    • The application and a current complete transcript of grades must be postmarked no later than May 31. Grade reports are not acceptable. Printed copies of online transcripts may be sent but must display student name, school name, grade and credit hours earned for each course, and term in which the course was taken. 
    • Applications are evaluated based on the information supplied. Incomplete applications will not be evaluated. All information is considered confidential and is reviewed only by Scholarship Management Services. 
    • Within three weeks, applicants will receive an acknowledgement card. If the card has not arrived, call Scholarship Management Services at 507-931-1682 to verify the application has arrived.  Applicants agree to accept award decisions as final.

  • Selection/Award – Notification Made mid-July 

    • Scholarship Management Service selects recipients and determines the award amount. Employees and officers of Express Services, Inc. and Express Employment Professionals locations play no part in the selection. 
    • Selection is made on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, statement of goals and aspirations, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an outside appraisal.
    • Notifications regarding award decisions are made by Scholarship Management Service by mid-July. Not all applicants receive an award. 
    • Recipients are required to notify Scholarship Management Services of any changes in address, school enrollment, or other relevant information and to send a complete transcript when requested.
    • Recipients have no obligation to Express Employment Professionals.
