Pittsburgh West Express Office Earns Prestigious Bronze Award

PENNSYLVANIA, June 10, 2020 — Express Employment Professionals of Pittsburgh West earned the Bronze award recently, according to Deb Gray, Pittsburgh West Express franchisee.
The Pittsburgh West Express office received the Bronze Award for excellence and achievements in sales, recruitment and placement.
In addition, the Pittsburgh West Express office was awarded the Fast Track Award for Office Services which recognizes top performing offices in the Express system. And last, Nicole Zurcher was recognized as the number one performer in the North East for professional placements.
“It is truly an honor to be recognized for these achievements,” said Gray. “We’re so grateful for the support of our community and the efforts of our staff that made these awards possible.”

Express Employment Professionals’ Deb Gray Receives Pittsburgh Airport Area Chamber of Commerce “Sally” Award and Celebrates Service to The Pittsburgh Business Community
Pittsburgh, PA (February 25, 2019)—Express Employment Professionals Pittsburgh West owner, Deb Gray, recently received the Sally Award from the Pittsburgh Airport Area Chamber of Commerce (PAACC). Gray was presented with the award in front of a sold-out crowd of Pittsburgh and Pittsburgh Airport Area business peers at the PAACC’s Annual Celebration of Excellence (ACE) event held January 18 at the Hyatt Regency Pittsburgh International Airport.
The Sally Award is presented annually to a PAACC member who has demonstrated a dedication to the Chamber reminiscent of the late Sally Haas, who served as the PAACC’s CEO and President from 1998 to 2012. Haas was an inspiration to all who knew her as she worked tirelessly for the Chamber and its members.
“To even be recognized as a nominee for this award is an honor. To receive the award is extremely humbling and is certainly among the highlights of my career,” said Gray. “For many years, I worked closely with Sally Haas and with my fellow PAACC directors and members on some very valuable initiatives in our community. It’s work that I’ll forever be proud of and grateful for,” Gray concluded.
Deb Gray is the owner of the award-winning Pittsburgh West office of global staffing franchise, Express Employment Professionals. Hers is one of the largest and fastest-growing of Express’ Greater Pittsburgh offices. Under Gray’s leadership, her team has put 6,800+ job seekers to work in a variety of fields, including administrative, professional, industrial, skilled labor, skilled trades, and skilled professional. Currently, Express Pittsburgh West serves over 250 working associates weekly and over 190 businesses in the Pittsburgh Airport Corridor and Beaver County.
A Penn State University alumna, Gray graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and honed her management and leadership skills over 30 years in the retail industry guiding dozens of national teams in new store development and the retrofitting of 1100 retail outlets.
In addition to her dedicated service to the Board of Directors for the Pittsburgh Airport Area Chamber of Commerce, Deb also serves on the Penn State Business, Management and Technology Board and Pittsburgh Technical College Business Advisory Board. She is an active supporter of local educational institutions as well as many business and community organizations including the Beaver County Chamber of Commerce, the Beaver Valley Career & Technology Center, Children’s Home of Pittsburgh, Future Business Leaders of America, Germaine Harbor, Habitat for Humanity Allegheny Valley, and Professional Outfitters & Variety Shop (Franklin Center).
In 2016, Gray received the Helping Hands Award from Express corporate as well as a Distinguished Service Award from The Pittsburgh Airport Area Chamber of Commerce. In 2017, she was honored with a Meritorious Award from Express Employment Professionals’ corporate headquarters for her work in the beta testing of the recently launched
ExpressJobs app.
Gray continues to lead a stellar team to serve businesses and job seekers in the Pittsburgh West and Beaver County regions. Her commitment to workforce development has also led her to enthusiastically utilize and present Express’ educational and career development tools such as
Job Genius and ExpressLearn. Gray conducts workshops and presentations at businesses, educational institutions, and events to help drive workforce-related education, awareness, solutions, and opportunities for employers, employees, students and families.

Thank you for your support and participation in the Express Employment Professionals Brand It Blue Day! Brand It Blue Day is the Express Employment Professionals international day of volunteering at local food banks and pantries across North America to help fight hunger.
On behalf of all of at the Express Employment Professionals Pittsburgh West office we are extremely grateful to the businesses and the associates who participated in this fifth annual event. Thank you to those who collected food at your office and reached out in your workplace to get your coworkers involved with the collection drive, made monetary donations and volunteered their time to benefit the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and the Rochester Salvation Army.
With all of the food collection efforts and the generous financial contributions for the Brand It Blue Day
event, the grand total number of meals supplied by the Express Pittsburgh West office equals 1,384 meals!

The following week on Friday, June 16, the Express Employment Professionals Monaca office donated their time at the Rochester Salvation Army.

School Scholarship Program
The Express Employment Professionals scholarship program is designed to recognize and encourage achievements in higher education.
Eligibility
- Applicants must have a minimum of 500 hours of employment as an Express Employment Professionals associate accumulated in the two-year period prior to the May 31 application deadline. Applicants may also be the children or spouse of an Express associate who meets the requirements above.
- Scholarship applicants must be high school seniors, high school graduates, or have received their GED or equivalent. Applicants must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a full-time or part-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school.
Awards
- Selected recipients receive an award of up to $1,000.
- Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply each year they meet the eligibility requirements.
- Recipients may only receive one Express scholarship, an internal scholarship award may not be combined with the Express associate/school award.
- Scholarships are made payable to the student's school. Total scholarship amount is issued via a check in one payment on August 15. Checks are mailed to the student's home address.

Express Scholarship Application form and reference the
Financial Data instructions.
- The application and a current complete transcript of grades must be postmarked no later than May 31. Grade reports are not acceptable. Printed copies of online transcripts may be sent but must display student name, school name, grade and credit hours earned for each course, and term in which the course was taken.
