Deb Gray is the owner of the award-winning
Pittsburgh West office of global staffing franchise, Express Employment
Professionals. In 2022, this office achieved Bronze Circle of Excellence within
the 850+ franchise organization.
Express Pittsburgh West was also recognized as the
Beaver County Small Business of the Year for 2022. Hers is one of the largest
and fastest growing of Express’ Greater Pittsburgh offices.
Under Gray’s leadership, her team has put 6,800+ job
seekers to work in a variety of fields, including administrative, professional,
industrial, skilled labor, skilled trades, and skilled professional. Currently,
Express Pittsburgh West serves over 250 working associates weekly and over 190
businesses in the Pittsburgh Airport Corridor and Beaver County.
A Penn State University alumna, Gray graduated with
a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and honed her management and
leadership skills over 30 years in the retail industry guiding dozens of
national teams in new store development and the retrofitting of 1100 retail
outlets.
In addition to her dedicated service to the Board of
Directors for the Pittsburgh Airport Area Chamber of Commerce, Deb also serves
on the Penn State Business, Management and Technology Board and Pittsburgh
Technical College Business Advisory Board. She is an active supporter of local
educational institutions as well as many business and community organizations
including the Beaver County Chamber of Commerce, the Beaver Valley Career &
Technology Center, Children’s Home of Pittsburgh, Future Business Leaders of
America, Germaine Harbor, Habitat for Humanity Allegheny Valley, and
Professional Outfitters & Variety Shop (Franklin Center). This past year
Deb accepted the Presidency for Hope Grows, elevating her long-time support for
this caregiving nonprofit organization.
In 2016, Gray received the Helping Hands Award from
Express corporate as well as a Distinguished Service Award from The Pittsburgh
Airport Area Chamber of Commerce. In 2017, she was honored with a Meritorious
Award from Express Employment Professionals’ corporate headquarters for her
work in the beta testing of the recently launched ExpressJobs app.
She received the Sally Award from the Pittsburgh
Airport Area Chamber of Commerce (PAACC) in January 2019. The Sally Award is presented
annually to a PAACC member who has demonstrated a dedication to the Chamber
reminiscent of the late Sally Haas, who served as the PAACC’s CEO and President
from 1998 to 2012. Haas was an inspiration to all who knew her as she worked
tirelessly for the Chamber and its members.
Gray continues to lead a stellar team to serve
businesses and job seekers in the Pittsburgh West and Beaver County regions.
Her commitment to workforce development has also led her to enthusiastically
utilize and present Express’ educational and career development tools such
as Job
Genius, ExpressLearn and WorkPlacePro. Gray conducts
workshops and presentations at businesses, educational institutions, and events
to help drive workforce-related education, awareness, solutions, and
opportunities for employers, employees, students, and families.
